Loreto was respresented by 5 projects at this years Scifest at the Institute of Technology in Blanchardstown. It was very successful day for the school picking up 6 prizes in total. Congratulations to Aoife Greene (5th Year) who won Best Individual Project and the PharmaChemical Ireland Best Chemistry Project Award for her project entitled Science of Solutions., Aoife Downey and Clíodhna Harrison (5th Year) who won best group project and the Intel award for best project for their project 'Carbon and Glue what can it do?' and Aimee Shanley Brookes, Lauren Kearney and Leanne O'Neill (2nd Year) who came second in the junior physical sciences category for their project on Fingerprints. Dr Darley received the Royal Society of Chemistry 'Teacher of Chemistry' Award. Well done to all the girls who took part on the day.
