Over 170 students from 2nd year exhibited 61 projects in SciFest@School in Loreto St Michael’s. This was the school’s 5th SciFest@School and it was the biggest one yet!
Students demonstrated their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and maths through their creative and innovative projects. Some of the projects on display included a plaster that detects the early signs of infection and a glove that relieves the symptoms of arthritis. The overall prize went to Louise Byrnez, Rachel Brady and Grace Gavigean for their project ‘Screens and Eyesight’ which investigated the effect of blue light on eyesight.
